This project, for one of the country’s leading private pension plan firms, was to design the management suite of the building and prepare the shop drawings and tender documents for the implementation of the design.
As the management suite is located in an existing high rise building in Istanbul, this fact together with the company’s strong corporate image suggested a design style based on classical skyscraper imagery. The size of pre-existing structural columns demanded the maximal use of natural light. This was achieved through the use of frosted glass dividers. Those areas receiving more limited quantities of natural light were boosted through the incorporation of stretch ceiling systems overhead in addition to vibrant coloured carpets under foot.

The main concept behind the design was to convey an atmosphere of clarity and tranquillity. This was achieved in the main by the use of a clear sliding door that separated the board room from the entrance. The use of such a partition facilitates both day-to-day business activities and those of entertaining clients to occur in synchronicity without one impacting on another.
