This project was the third runner-up in the pre-selected, double-phase international competition opened for the design of the Turkish Embassy and Chancellery buildings on Tiergarten Strasse in the heart of the embassy zone in Berlin, Germany. The building comprises the chancellery and offices, reception, protocol and exhibition halls, as well as accommodation for embassy employees and guests. The façade of the ballroom is covered with a pattern of several thousand interconnected stars and crescents, the key feature on the Turkish flag. The secure inner courtyard between the buildings is conceived as a second gathering point.
