As the Açı School expanded and its needs increased over time after its first construction in 1998, two villas in the neighboring parcels were rented to overtake various other functions of the school. As the last phase of the expansion, Açı Primary School was designed and constructed in 2008, after the purchase of a villa, which was demolished and replaced by the new building in July 2008, at the intersection of Yeşim Street and Yeşilay Street.
The building is constructed in reinforced concrete. The cantilever on the first floor is lined with timber, the color of which reflects the elementary school aura. The roof with four pitches and the wide canopy completes the overall concept of the structure.
