Located on İstanbul’s northern shore in Gümüşdere, Burç Beach 2 project entails the redesign of the area allocated to Boğaziçi University to be used as a beach and water sports center. Popular among kite surfers, Burç Beach is sprawled across and area of 8,500 square meters and includes two bars (2,500 m2 each), lounges, eating and sun bathing platforms, shower cabins inspired by waves and a water sports center that is likened to a kite. To create a sense of harmony with nature, the whole construction, which is built out of light material, is set in sand and covered with timber. A dynamic configuration was deemed suitable for this young and sports-oriented venue.
